Subscribing to the Sierra Club Radio free podcast allows you to automatically download the latest episode of our radio program to your computer as an MP3 file. Exactly when it does that depends on how you've configured your podcast program's settings. The most popular software program that handles podcasts is Apple Computer's iTunes, but you can use any program that lets you subscribe to a podcast feed. Once the MP3 file is on your computer, you can listen to it even when you're not online. You can also transfer the program to an iPod (iTunes can do this automatically) or to any other portable MP3 player. You can then listen to Sierra Club Radio anywhere you go. For programs other than iTunes, here's the address you will need to enter into the podcast subscription field: http://sierraclub.typepad.com/sierra_club_radio/rss.xml The location of that field varies from program to program.
